Velocity Ranking prioritizes signals using three components: 20-bar rate-of-change (momentum), volatility-adjusted distance to 3R (distance), and upside to prior resistance (upside). In this in-sample simulation it showed 28.26% CAGR, 13.34% max drawdown and +0.63R per trade. These figures come from an optimized period and were not reproduced in independent testing; they are not verified or expected returns. Rotation — closing positions at 20% unrealized profit to redeploy capital — added trading costs without improving risk-adjusted returns.

Halal screening
We start with a 73-stock universe screened by HalalChartLab. Only Verified stocks are eligible for the model.
Recovery signals
Our scanner detects the Recovery pattern: a bullish candle reclaiming the prior high after at least two down sessions. Each signal gets a Velocity score.
Simulated execution
Confirmed signals enter a $50k model portfolio at 2% equity. We track R-multiples, trailing stops and Time Velocity to exit — no real orders.
Speed matters as much as direction
Time Velocity measures how quickly a trade reaches its R-targets. Fast wins and slow losses are not the same as slow wins and fast losses — even at identical R.
R per session
Every trade is measured in R-multiples per trading session held, not just total return.
Holding duration
Median and average holding days reveal whether the strategy captures moves efficiently or ties up capital.
Pooled velocity
Pooled R per position-day separates productive capital from idle positions across the full portfolio.
